Aqua-Aerobics will begin on Wednesday, September 15th and will take place at the Darien YMCA from 6:15-7:15pm. All participants will be able to exercise in the pool. Participants must fill out an emergency contact form in order to participate. Please contact Gerard Gasparino to receive a form.
The ARI Artists’ Initiative Class will begin on Thursday, September 23rd in the ARI Senior’s room from 3:00-5:00pm. Participants will be able to work on their artwork. Class will be open to all interested. Please contact Gerard Gasparino for more information.
We will attend a Bridgeport Bluefish baseball game on Friday, September 10th. We will depart from the ARI parking lot at 5:00pm for the 7:05pm game. We will return to Stamford at approximately 11:00pm. Cost: $10 per person, plus spending money for snacks and souvenirs. Please RSVP by Tuesday, September 7th.
Bingo Night will take place in the ARI Cafeteria on Monday, September 20th from 6:00-7:30pm. Refreshments will be served including pizza, and prizes will be awarded! Cost: $5 per person. Please RSVP by Friday, August 20th.
Bowling will continue at Rip Van Winkle Lanes in Norwalk each Saturday in September at 12:00pm. The cost is $3.25 per game and includes shoes. After bowling the group normally goes to lunch at a nearby restaurant (optional).
Golf with Challenged People in Motion will continue in September, taking place on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30pm at Sterling Farms Golf Course. The last practice day will take place on Wednesday, September 15th. All participants must attend each week. The Annual Golfers Dinner Banquet will take place on Wednesday, September 22nd at the Knights of Columbus from 6:00-9:00pm.
Gourmet Cooking Club will take place on Tuesday, September 7th and Tuesday, September 28th from 2:30-4:30pm in the ARI Cafeteria. The class will learn skills to cook foods from various parts of the world. The cost to participate is $5.
An End of Summer Ice Cream Social will take place on Thursday, September 16th from 6:00-7:30pm in the ARI Cafeteria. Come cool off and enjoy an ice cream for $3.00. Sugar Free ice cream available.
Men’s & Women’s Night Out will take place on Friday, September 24th from 5:30-7:30pm. Catch up with old friends over dinner at a local restaurant. The cost of dinner will range from $10 to $20. Please contact Gerard Gasparino for the location of the restaurant.
We will attend the New York Mets baseball game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, September 27th. We will depart from the ARI parking lot at 5:00pm for the 7:10pm game. We will return to Stamford at approximately 11:30pm. Cost: $30 per person, plus spending money for snacks and souvenirs. Please RSVP by Friday, July 10th.
