Recreation Services

Recreation Services encourages personal growth and builds relationships through involvement in a variety of social events, classes, and physical activities. 

Supported activities include the ARI Artists Initiative Classes, Aqua-Aerobics, Dinner Dances, Vacations, Bocce, Trips to Watch Local Sporting Events including the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Monthly Dinners, and much more.  Members of ARI participate in community recreational groups including Challenged People in Motion Golf, Darien YMCA Funbusters, Special Olympics (including swimming, snow shoeing, bowling, and track & field), and much more.   ARI also facilitates vacations including overnight stays at nearby destinations and week long vacations.

This month’s Recreation Calendar:

March, 2020

Aqua-Aerobics will continue on Wednesdays in March from 6:15-7:15pm at the Darien YMCA. Participants must sign up by contacting Gerard Gasparino at (203) 324-9258 ext. 3023 or email gasparinog@arict.org.
The ARI Artists’ Initiative Class will continue on Thursdays in March from 2:30-4:30pm (note the new time). Participants will be able to work on their artwork. Class will be open to all interested. Please contact Gerard Gasparino for more information.
The ARI St. Patrick’s Day Party will be held at the Knights of Columbus on Monday, March 16th from 6:00-8:30pm. The cost is $20 per person, which includes dinner, dessert, and dancing! Please RSVP and submit payment prior to the event.
